In Richmond Hill, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces that starting March 13, the province will end licence plate stickers and renewal fees for several vehicle types. He adds that the government will introduce legislation that would allow the province to refund eligible vehicle owners for all licence plate fees paid since March 2020. The premier also comments on the police operation that cleared protestors from Ottawa’s downtown core, and he takes questions on his government’s upcoming budget as well as negotiations with the federal government to reach a funding agreement for child care in the province.
