Bill 104: Tamil Genocide Education Week, Act has officially become law!

Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, has signed the Royal Assent officially proclaiming Bill104 Tamil Genocide Education Week in Ontario.

The Royal Assent of Bill 104 coincides today with the beginning of Tamil Genocide Education Week.

This is a symbolic way to mark the beginning of Tamil Genocide Education Week. Each year from May 12th – 18th has been proclaimed as Tamil Genocide Education Week. During this week, Ontarians are encouraged to educate themselves about and maintain their awareness of the Tamil genocide and other genocides that have occurred in world history.
