The President of the United Nations 74th Session of the General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande announced today, the results of the elections of the President of the 75th session of the Assembly, non-permanent members of the Security Council and members of the Economic and Social Council.

Having obtained the required majority of members present and voting and the greatest numbers of votes, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkir of Turkey is elected President of the 75th session of the General Assembly.
Non-permanent members of the Security Council
Having obtained two-thirds majority of the members present and voting and the greatest number of votes, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Norway are elected members of the Security Council for a 2-year term beginning on 1 January 2021.
There still remains one seat to be filled among the African and Asia-Pacific States.
The General Assembly will hold the first restricted ballot on Thursday, 18 June from 9:00 am in the General Assembly Hall.

Having obtained a two-thirds majority of members present and voting and the greatest number of votes, the following 18 States are elected members of ECOSOC for a 3-year term beginning on 1 January 2021:
